Located in the center of Normandy, between the cities of CAEN, ROUEN and LE HAVRE, « PAYSD'AUGE » is very well located. This part of Normandy is easy to reach by rail, car and ferry. « Pays d'Auge » is well known for the famous Deauville-Trouville coast. Not far from the see, this area is famous for its valleys and pastoral landscapes. The sea, the fertile land and the verdant pastures from spring to winter all contribute towards its excellent breeding potential: it is home to France's greatest concentration of stud farms Charles Auguste Louis Joseph Demorny/de Morny, 1st Duc de Morny played an important role in the development of the thoroughbred horse racing and breeding.
INTRODUCTION
In 1862 Morny built the Deauville-La Touques Race Course near Deauville. The Prix Morny is named in his honor perpetrates this tradition. Perhaps even more than its prestigious events (international jumping competitions, world polo championships...), the sincere emotion that reunites men and horses within Calvados is omnipresent and evident in its many Sunday events.
